Prepare for a blast in the past!
We are delighted to announce that we now offer TWO incursions: Early Years: Past and Present and Year 4 and 5: Gold Rush Games.
EARLY YEARS: PAST and Present
Play in the Past will bring an enticing selection of our vintage homewares to your school for your little learners to learn about, play with and explore. Our programme will allow students to compare, sort and order our old school items used for communication, entertainment, toys and education. This will be the perfect addition to a Past and Present programme. Contact us for more information and to book an incursion.
Our incursions can be delivered to schools, early learning centres, home school groups and vacation care programmes.
Pricing
$255 per hour session + $50 travel fee
Minimum of two sessions
Upper Junior Incursion
Year 4 and 5: Gold Rush Games
Students will get to learn about, explore, inquire and PLAY with hands on resources to build their understanding of the Early Settlement of WA.
During the hour session, students will sort and order key events in the creation of the Swan River Colony on a timeline before rotating through three hands on stations.
The interactive activities will explore: Gold Discovery, Convict Creations and a Colonial Homecorner.
• Gold Discovery: students will pan for gold in the ‘Goldfields’ and explore the impact of this discovery on WA’s history.
• Convict Creations: Using loose parts and recyclable materials, students will create WA landmarks built by convicts, such as the Fremantle Prison, Canning Highway and the South Bay Jetty.
• Colonial Homecorner: Using vintage homewares, students will experience the hardship of daily lives of early settlers, dress ups included!
Our incursion will give your students the opportunity to engage in a wonder-full experience that brings the upper junior history curriculum to life.

The Hands on History Collection can be delivered anywhere in the Perth Metro Area as well as schools in the South West.
The Hands on History Collection is available for SELF PICK UP and DROP OFF from NOR on Saturday. You then get to use the wide range of vintage items in your classroom to enrich your students’ learning experiences.
